Concept origin and organized by Michele Thursz & Fatoş Üstek 

Michele Thursz & Fatoş Üstek will present Art-Actually, and will bring together, through a collective production, a group of actions with the purpose to unite various perspectives on the term art actually.  Art-Actually is a flexible basis with a strong standing point that is to say an easy approach with a critical attitude. Taking place in the public space is to widen the borders of a static exhibition. This action will be initiated through the logo Art-Actually,created by web designer Alon Zouaretz in the form of a sticker that will be distributed through the public sector.
We have organized a  “party faux real” as the opening reception featuring local djs Cenker and Cihan, a video screening organized by Neriman Polat, a zine will be distributed ,designed by Ayşe Kongur. Through out the third week of September , 18th -l 28th, Art-Actually will present a series of performances, and workshops by Gülçin Aksoy ,who produces work mostly based on the seeing-observing  will realise a work titled Artist Car which will travel in a loop between Galata Tower and Karaköy on the 20th, 22nd and 24th of September  between 17:00 – 18:00 with a video screening of her five selected video works; hence the passer-by who gets in the car will also come across with art pieces , Yasemin Özcan Kaya , realises an video installation at Elmaslı Apt, No31 Galata between 18th and 28th f September, the screening is two old woman looking out of the windows of their houses. In Kaya’s installation the gaze will be vice versa so that the audience gaze at them instead while being looked at and Dirk van Lieshout, will realise a three day performance- on the 19th and 21st of September between 18:00 and 19:00- at the square of Galata Tower A remote control sculptural installation, Superbowls, and Dirk van Lieshout will realise a workshop on the creation of superbowls which are based on obsessions at Galata Fotoğrafhanesi* on the 23rd of September; additionally the public can contribute to the definition of Art-Actually word map, view a full archive, and download all publications from www.art-actually.com.
