Lecture Newcastle University

Fine Art, which is a part of Newcastle University’s School of Arts and Cultures, is delighted to present a public weekly programme of research lectures and seminars from some of the most interesting and original artists, critics, curators, historians and art professionals working today. This programme is complemented by school-based research activities such as ‘Connecting Principle‘, the Fine Art Postgraduate Research Student seminars, and the ongoing series of gallery talks and lectures organised by the Hatton Gallery, which is housed in the Fine Art Building.

Speakers are invited whose work relates to topical research and teaching themes being explored by staff, undergraduate students, postgraduate students and researchers in Fine Art, and is a significant element of Fine Art’s unique commitment to research that tests established boundaries and methodologies. The Lecture programme is intended to transcend traditional discussion boundaries. A list of previous speakers is available.

The previous years’ programme is archived on the external Fine Art Visiting Speakers website.
