Realized in collaboration with production company In Between Art Film, the miartalks 2016 function as a cross-disciplinary forum that brings together leading international artists, curators, filmmakers, directors of institutions, writers and others engaged with the visual and performing arts to consider how time based practices are re-defining the boundaries of contemporary art.

Changing Displays: Exhibition as Event
With the increasing presence of performance in contemporary art, the lines between durational event and temporary exhibition are starting to blur. As these new approaches become more widespread, are institutions responding to changing artistic practices by creating spaces that are more flexible, temporary, and performance focused, or are artists having to adapt how they work to fit into these new conditions?
